Weekend Routine with Twins

Twins are now five months, and this is how most of our weekends go.
Finally, the weekend is here! It is an exciting time because for us working moms it means we get to spend every minute that we want with our babies. As you know my babies are now 5 months, and I must say that routine is life. I think that routine is important for the MAMA and also for the babies. Let me explain.
In order for one to be able to be an amazing mama, one has to have some time to herself. Even if that "time" is just a peaceful shower. In the long run, whether your baby is or will be in daycare/school, a routine teaches one to be organized and teaches structure. Weekends are meant to be fun, and of course they are, but one should ensure that it is fun for everyone. Meaning, it should NOT be that everyone is having fun and MAMA is exhausted with a twitching eye. (I know you mamas know what I mean)
Our weekends go something like this:
- Monitor starts beeping- Babies are up, woo-hoo so are we! It is about 5-6 AM, which is now sleeping in.
- Bottles are ready to be warmed up and fed. We do the Clean, Feed, Sleep cycle with each baby in every feed. It's amazing.
- Once babies are fed, they are put back in their crib, usually fall back asleep for an hour+ or so.
- While babies sleep, we have some coffee plan our day, prep for next feed and shower. If we are going out one will prep baby bag, and the other will do some chores.
- As the day goes by, we go out or mostly stay home (because it is so much easier) and we do play time, tummy time, story time, and of course one cannot forget naps throughout the day.
- Around 7.P.M we begin bath time to then soon start sleep time. (Bath, Feed, Sleep)
- Usually by 9PM or so babies are sleeping, and MAMA gets to chill. You know what I mean, chin chin!
